Pubic Mound Liposuction
Excess adipose tissue in the vicinity of the pubic mound may be a source of physical discomfort and much insecurity. It is rarely possible to diminish it by diet or exercise. However, pubic mound liposuction brings very desirable effects. The treatment is safe, provides lasting effects and is associated with a low risk of negative side effects. Women that most frequently undergo pubic mound liposuction are those that have excess fat that has accumulated as a result of natural processes or as a result of surgical procedures – for example, caesarean sections. Liposuction allows for a significant reduction in adipose tissue, resulting in improved functioning of reproductive organs and the quality of sexual life.
Recommendations and Course of Treatment
During two weeks preceding surgery, the patient cannot take any flu or cough medicines, aspirin and its derivatives, or vitamin E. A few days before liposuction, the patient should limit the amount of cigarettes smoked. The patient should come in for follow-up examination during which the stitches are removed after a week. A small, two millimeter incision, does not leave any visible scars. Return to normal activity is possible after a few days.
