Cosmetic surgery
What is abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)?
Abdominoplasty – abdominal wall plasty – removes excess adipose tissue and skin from the middle and bottom section of the abdomen. This surgery often is based on modeling the figure, defining the waist, which adds femininity to patients and allows them to feel physically attractive and conquer insecurities. Abdominal wall plasty is becoming more popular not only among women, but also men.
What to do prior to surgery?
Like all surgeries, abdominal wall plasty also requires a physical examination and a number of diagnostic tests to determine the patient’s condition. During the first visit, the doctor has the opportunity to familiarize himself with the patient’s medical history and explain the course of the surgery. The surgery is performed applying general anesthesia and requires two day hospitalization.
What are the contraindications for the surgery?

Abdominal wall plasty is weighed down with some risk of complications such as, infection, keloid formation, blood clots and nerve damage. That is why it is very important to follow our doctor’s indications, especially wearing a compression bandage and clothing, avoiding physical activity, exposing wounds to sunlight and hot water.
