What to expect during surgery?
Nipple correction surgery is preceded by a physical examination where the doctor examines the patient’s medical history, performs necessary diagnostic tests and approximates the course of the surgery. Together with the surgeon, the patient decides on the appearance of nipples. The surgery is performed using local anesthesia and usually takes no more than an hour. Wounds that are created during this procedure heal in the course of about two weeks and leave no visible scars. The full effect is visible after about two weeks. A check- up is necessary after seven days. During convalescence, bandages should be changed regularly, avoiding any pressure on the nipple.
